Celebrate Valentine’s Day (or any time of the year) with a sweet treat. These Seaweed Infused Chocolate Hearts are the perfect way to show others you care. Not only are they delicious, but they are also infused with Blue Evolution Kelp Puree to give a subtle serving of added antioxidants, iodine and nourishing nutrients.

Ingredients⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips

  • 12 ounces milk or semi sweet chocolate chips

  • 2 Tbsp Blue Evolution Kelp Puree, divided

  • 2-4 tsp of coconut oil, divided

  • Flaked sea salt (optional)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Method

SPECIAL NOTE: You’ll need a heart shaped silicone mold for these hearts, which can be found seasonally at kitchen specialty stores or online!

  1. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave by putting chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwaving for 30 seconds. Stir the chocolate. Microwave an additional 15 seconds. Stir. Repeat until chocolate is just melted and smooth.

  2. Stir in coconut oil, a little bit at a time until the chocolate is shiny and slippery.

  3. Add one tablespoon of Kelp Puree and mix together.

  4. Add a few flakes of sea salt to the mold, if you want, then spoon the white chocolate into the mold.

  5. Repeat the whole process with the milk or semisweet chocolate. Go slowly when adding the coconut oil.

  6. Spoon the melted chocolate on top of the white chocolate layer (or in their own heart mold). Jiggle to encourage it to evenly settle.

  7. Let mold set in the fridge for about an hour. Pop the chocolates out of the mold. Enjoy and be sure to share with others!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
